Client feedback

Mac pulled on the lead and was aggressive towards other dogs, despite months of attending obedience classes. One week after my visit, his owner emailed to say

"I really would like to let you know of the success Mac and I have been having this week. He is on a slack lead all the time and when he went once past the barking dog, he LOOKED at ME!!! On Thursday, I took him into the hospital. He got out of the car and walked beside me on a completely loose lead into the hospital and onto the ward. He was absolutely brilliant. Today was the day for being assessed for being a PAT dog. We had to meet the lady in Tesco’s car park in Alfreton. She arrived with a boot full of big dogs which barked as she got out. I moved away a little and stood still. So did Mac. We had to do a calm walk on a loose lead up and down the pedestrian walk way into the shop. Before I met you I’d have had to have the lead short and keep doing a surreptitious tweak but he would still have been on his tip-toes. It’s a wonder you didn’t feel the telepathic cheering I was sending out as we walked along all proud and together. What a result! It really has been a brilliant break through, thank you very much for your help." (AA)

Bill had a very traumatic start to life, this was his fifth home. He was very unhappy, withdrawn, mistrusting and aggressive towards people, including his owners, and barked a lot. Within a week of my visit his owner said

"I am understanding the aggression better and the incidents are becoming less in frequency, intensity and he is taking less time to calm down - so am I, especially today. Bill is REALLY responding to my actions when he perceives danger. We had a take away delivered the other night. Bill barked at the knock but when I went to the door and thanked him he practically bounced backwards on his bottom to let me deal with the danger, watching me all the time. I was so proud of him. I've been so pleased. Bill keeps throwing me these lovely looks, so happy and relaxed, I've never seen him so pleased and I've never felt so close to him. It's so rare to see Bill happily excited about anything and even rarer for him to genuinely want to be with a human for no other reason than IT'S FUN!" (MP)

Dylan was aggressive towards other dogs and destructive when left alone.

"Dylan is doing very well - he hasn't chewed anything when he has been left for weeks and his aggression towards other dogs has lessened. We can actually walk past dogs now (no barking)." (SB)

Levi was extremely aggressive towards visitors to the home to the point that friends avoided going to his owner's house. Within two weeks of my visit his owner told me

"He's seems to be doing great, we have had one visitor who he has never met before. I did everything you said and I had explained it to her before she came. I had the situation under control and felt calm, which made me happy. I'm having another visitor this weekend. I knew it was never going to be an over night things but as I have seen some changes in him already, I am happy." (EL)

Other comments include:

"We all agreed that the information and presentation was excellent and we are already seeing positive changes in Tyke's behaviour habits." (MS)

"Much better walking on the lead, recall is fantastic, now eating very well, better behaved in the house and with visitors and the barking stops straight away." (CL)

"We cannot believe the difference already. Calm has descended on the house. Thank you so much for coming to see us." (MA)

"Almost an instant improvement." (SW)

"Can't thank you enough." (ES)

"Excellent - no longer pulling when walking on the lead." (SK)

"Great job." (AG)
